Overall, good- room for improvement
I like this travel bag, but find a few upgrades could be made for it to be more convenient for airline travel. First, the strap to hold it onto the handle of one’s personal carry on might be better thought out. As opposed to one large strap, two straps, able to be Velcro’d individually to each arm of a retractable carryon handle would prevent the bag from coming off the top of the luggage and riding on the opposite side. When the carryon luggage is tilted, in motion on its wheels though the airport, I discovered that the weight of the pet bag along with gravity, caused it to slide off the top to ride, unsupported, on the wrong, unintended side of the wheeled luggage. This wouldn’t have been an issue if I hadn’t been traveling alone, also handling my pet in an HPZ rover. One hand on the rover, and the other towing my carryon, my eyes were ahead and my service animal’s travel organizer was haphazardly dangling on our mad dash across DFW for our connecting flight. Two straps to keep it in place could have prevented this. Additionally, the lack of structure of the bag, while useful when folding for storage, could be improved by utilizing something like heavy duty gear-ties in the verticals corners of the four walls. Industrial, silicone wrapped aluminum alloy wire that could be bent and reshaped multiple times would prevent the bag from crumpling into a misshaped heap, in the case that it is not completely full of gear. Last, I was informed by customer service prior to my purchase, that the collapsible silicone bowls included were as pictured, one being bigger, wider than the other, smaller one. However, what I received were two bowls that were the same- both being the smaller size in the picture of the item. My service dog is of the brachycephalic breed, short nose with a wide and flat face. He would’ve preferred having one larger bowl to eat from- easier, less restrictive when getting to the bottom. I’ve a few additional suggestions for improvements to this product, however the price point would invariably be affected.. Anyway, there’s my take, for whatever it’s worth!
